The entry list is now CLOSED. If you are still inerested in registering send an email to the Competition Director with your details and you will be added to the reserve list in case anyone drops out. Do not send any payment until requested.

   21.01.2012

Only one place left before the entry list closes.

   14.01.2012
Confirmed list of entries published on web site today. Only 3 places left

   04.01.2012

Due to lack of entries to hold a meaningful grid in the Glass Class, we are officially cancelling this class. In view of this development, we wish to announce that we are re-opening the final few places available on the grid to any remaining Olys or Ka6's that wish to attend. Please note that due to over-subscription of Oly's and Ka6's before we began running a tentative reserve list, the remaining places are very limited indeed, and there are only  3 grid places left. All pilots that have registered and paid to date, are now all officially confirmed as successful. (This includes anyone that have been informed that they were on a reserve list.)

If anyone that has registered and paid wishes to attend the event in a non-competitive capacity, can they let the organisers know, as your position can be released to any entries on any new reserve list that we will be running once the remaining 3 places are filled.

Lastly, as we can only handle a relatively small number of non-competitive entries, we have had to date an almost 100% uptake on grid positions, and therefore are extendinginvitations to Ka6 pilots that wish to attend the event in a non-competitive capacity.

The BGA is asking all glider pilots in the UK to support the proposals regarding cloud flying in NPA 2011-16. Follow this link www.gliding.co.uk/bgainfo/nppl/2011-16Responseguidance30nov11.pdf

   01.12.2011
The Olympia and Ka6 classes are now fully subscribed so no more entries will be accepted for either class unless the Glass class is undersubscribed when a few more places may be made avaialble. Watch this spoce for announcements and email jon@heritageresource.co.uk to be included on the reserve list. You may still bring your Oly as a non-competing entry but no more Ka6s for the time being.

There have been questions about the minimum qualification to take part. The preference is a Silver C but a Bronze with the XC endorsement (or European equivalent) with some hill site experience may be acceptable at the discretion of the Midland GC CFI. Ridge top sites can be demanding in some conditions so his decision is final and there will be no appeal. If in doubt contact Mike Greenwood at MGC via office@longmynd.com.

The reason for the organisers widhing to see evidence from your log book at registration is to check currency, especially of the various launch methods available.

3 more entires including one from Bavaria, Germany puts total so far at 25. Get your entry in now as we will have to close the list before too long.

   23.11.2011
Entry list at 22

   21.11.2011

Received request to clarify entry fees for second pilots. The entry fee for the glider and first pilot is £95, For all subsequent pilots in same glider £20 each, but medals are awarded to an invidual pilot so multiple pilots in one glider reduce their chances of a medal significantly.

   20.11.2011
Entries now at 16, but only 5 Olys so if you want to enter yours better hurry up or there won't be any places left

   17.11.2011
